After suffering a prolapsed disc that made her leg and back so painful she couldn’t move for two days, she went to see an osteopath who lectured her about flexible spines and strong cores. I was reminded of my own visit to cope with a shoulder and postural problem and was fascinated to hear that she also took up yoga after following the exercises that had been given to her for six months.
There is no doubt about it, downward dogs and all the other yoga postures can have an extraordinarily positive effect on posture and help prevent recurrence of such injuries.
